Located near Bauple Village, the park provides a shady, peaceful rest stop with lovely views of the area. It is classed as bush camping as there are no facilities available. Camp fires and generators are permitted here.
To provide regulation to Council’s bush and basic non commercial camping grounds, a camping permit system has been introduced.
Permits are $10 for a stay of up to 48 hours and can be obtained from:
The Visitor Information Centres in Maryborough and Hervey Bay;
The Royal Hotel, Tiaro; and
The Bauple Museum.
Permits are required to utilise these facilities or on the spot fines will apply.
Proceeds from the permit system will be held in a reserve fund to be used to improve the facilities
