Northeast Park - TAS RVFT

Free Camping - Tasmania

This free camping area is one of the best in Tassie.  It has a maximum stay of 14 days.  It is grassy with plenty of shade available.  Here you will find toilets with disabled access, hot showers, water, picnic table and dump point.  Pets are not allowed here and there is a gold coin is needed to use the shower.  Photo buffs will love taking photos here, keep an eye out in the pond for ducks and platypus.

Due to public demand this site is once again pet friendly! The maximum stay has been extended to 14days. We only stayed o/n, but did go for a long walk , with dog, in the extensive gardens & bushland, which lead to the rail trail. We also spent an enjoyable 10mins watching the resident platypus frollicking in the ponds!

This is a very popular overnight stop, grassed and some shade. It is within walking distance to the shops and town generally, but up a fair hill. Site can get quite crowded so pays to get in early. Site beside a busy road so there can be some noise.

Great spot, good facilities, water taps throughout park. Donation box beside female amenities on a large boulder. Thank you Dorset Council.

Very busy and quite full even in April. Packed in like a caravan park. And at bottom of hill you get trucks braking which can be quite noisy. Good facilities though in a lovely town. If you want to stay here get in early or go to one of the other RV parks in Dover shire. The Dover Council is very progressive in promoting RV stays. Good to see.

Great site with toilets, hot water showers, water taps and grey water disposal. Have dollar coins for showers -$3.00 for shower. Dump point on site. Very popular spot for campers. Traffic noise at night as beside the main road. Donation box beside ladies toilet and definitely well deserved.

Very popular spot, they are putting in more water taps, etc. So please leave money in the donation box. Recommended.

Great Park. About 10 drive through sites with water hookup and grey water drainage. Suitable for big rigs.

Very popular place to stop near Scottsdale, on the route to the east coast. Unfortunately, sometimes the venue is overcrowded and it might be best to move on. Scottsdale is a nice small town where all facilities are a available and it is easy to spend some time.
