Berry is lucky to have one of the best showgrounds in New South Wales. With its superb well-maintained lawns, shady areas and many historic buildings on site, it is a fantastic place for tent, trailer or caravan camping.

There is a dump point, lots of modern power poles, and the excellent amenities are kept locked so there is zero vandalism. Great clean hot showers with doors.  Good lighting at night without being intrusive.  Please note:  Generators are not permitted to be used here.

The grounds are open all year round for your enjoyment, except for two weeks before the great Berry Show on the first weekend of February. The grounds also offer stable hire for transport horses on their way to and from events all over Australia. The railway station is immediately behind the Showground and is well serviced. Some campers even catch the train up to Sydney for the day and leave their vehicle at the Showground.

Tent campers are very welcome too.

LOCATION

Berry township is very pet friendly as long as you use a leash, and boasts the best coffee shops in the area. The village of Berry is only a two minute easy walk away and mostly under shady trees. The most fantastic thing about Berry Showground is that you are not very far away from anything… the beach, the mountains, shopping centres and vineyards! A restful night’s sleep is assured, safe drinking water, very good mobile phone and TV reception, very level parking, & lovely lush grass. Ask at the Office for the current trips on offer and free local maps.

Showground open for camping again. A little soggy in places but OK. Some confusion about pricing. Booking in seems only via the Shoalhaven Council website. The base charge seems to include up to 2 people. We paid $13.07 for 1 night unpowered with 2 people. Never saw the caretaker although did talk on the phone All clean and tidy.

The showgrounds are nice and green, drive through depending on numbers, great camp kitchen, toilets & showers (2only) are ok, public pool next door is $3.70 & 2.90 for pensioners, large oval next door for exercise yourself or pets, only dissapointment was the bins where overflowing for several days and the flies can be full on with horse stables next door

Others have told us what a great site this was and they are beautiful grounds, but upon arrival we had a most unpleasant experience with the caretaker, so we left never to return. Others have told us this was very unusual, so she might have been having a bad day.

Took our Big Rig to Berry for a couple of nights and it was lovely. The grounds were beautifully maintained and the caretakers very friendly and understanding. They opened the nearest gates for us to exit with ease. We even enjoyed an afternoon evening farmers market. Definitely will come again.

Well done Berry, this campsite is well run and well maintained, large sites that will take the largest of Rigs. If there is a downside to this campsite $28 a night is a little high for a Showground. A new dump point was installed this week.

One of the better Showground camping areas in NSW. They now have numbered sites with power and water. Toilets cleaned daily. Nice open feeling about this place. 5 min. walk to town with the many knick knack shops and cafes. Caretaker very friendly.

This site also has toilets and showers, you get a door code when you book in. Nice flat grassy area and a short walk to townplenty to see.
