Wycliffe Well Holiday Park

Caravan Park - Northern Territory

Wycliffe Well is the UFO capital of Australia and a great place to stay when travelling along the Stuart Highway between Alice Springs and Tennant Creek. We are only 25Klms or about 12 minutes drive to the amazing natural attraction "The Devils Marble's " .

Despite being on the very eastern edge of the Tanami Desert our caravan park  and  camping grounds are green and grassy all year round due to Wycliffe Well being on top of a large underground water table.

The older style motel rooms are comfortable, clean, air conditioned, with flat screen TV's, WiFi access and have new queen size or king single beds depening on which room suits you.

The various other cabins are either older buildings or demountables but once again are clean and comfortable and above the general standard of the N.T. outback.

The unique Roadhouse is a delight to young and old with its UFO paraphernalia, alien statues and souvenirs galore.

We are an Ausfuel outlet and sell unleaded, premium unleaded and Diesel fuels from 6.15 am to 8.30 pm

Come and enjoy a quality meal and a cold beverage or a glass of wine in our licensed roadhouse restaurant or the best take away food is available for the entirety of the day and evening.

Okay as an overnight stop. Fuel $$ is reasonable. May have been going great guns in the 1970's, but now looking very sorry. Tyre inflation not possible- broken, suspect for years. In 1 toilet block, men's urinal and toilets are unusable. Laundry sinks not so good due to sediment build-up. I'd be reluctant to plug the water in here.

The is advertised as a Big 4 park and the display board facing the Stuart Highway still announce this on arrival but this would seem to be out of date although they did give a rather generous discount for Big 4 members. New managers had recently taken over the park and they were still learning the ropes. (May 2016.) Signs indicated that the entrance would be locked over-night from 7pm but this did not happen. The park is themed as an outback space visitors park but it gets mixed up with various cartoon characters including The Hulk and Batman. There is a railway line threading around the camp and circles the large empty dam but it was not running when we visited. Various animals range free including an emu ponies and cattle. There is plenty of shade and the camping and parking areas are grassed. Toilet and shower facilities were reasonable.
