The Forest Headquarters is just north of Coopernook (between Taree and Kew). It is a lovely spot for a family picnic or a free overnight stay in scenic eucalypt forest. It has large grassy fields that are perfect to relax in, with or without shade.
Caravans and Campervans are welcome, but no power available. New toilets have recently been installed. Please do not use the old toilets which will be sealed off and removed.
Here you will find toilets, picnic tables, BBQ's, campfires and pets are allowed.

A peaceful stay a bit of gravel but just drive to the conditions. Sometimes the local farmers arrive with lovely fresh produce which is an added bonus.

A very popular stop over as long as you don't mind a couple of klms of gravel road. Plenty of grassy sites, a bit long and some boggy patches when we were there. Didn't check out the new loos, which seemed a long way away. Maybe there are two sets?

What a great spot this camp site is in the Coopernook State Forest, just 4 klms off the motorway ( Pacific Highway) Huge trees as far as the eye can see, except for this 400 square meter cleared area called Coopernook State Forest Camp. About 4 k's of dirt road, not a bush track. No power or water. Clean drop toilet available.
