The park comprises approximately 95,000 hectares. It includes the Heysen Range, Brachina and Bunyeroo gorges and the vast amphitheatre of mountains that is Wilpena Pound. Experience the native wildlife, rich cultural heritage, impressive geological features, camping opportunities and a range of activities including bushwalking, four-wheel driving, birdwatching, photography and mountain biking.

This campground offers two different camping experiences on the banks of Brachina Creek and Aroona Creek. Access: various campsites are 4WD only. Suitable for: tents, camper trailers, selected sites suitable for caravans. Facilities: long drop toilet, fire pits. Campfires: allowed (seasonal fire restrictions apply). Number of campsites: 13 allocated campsites. Unpowered.

This is a great camping area with drop toilets and camp fire places at the camp sites. The better camping is across the river bed on the western side.
