Bauple RV Park

Private Campground - Queensland

Favourite

In the heart of Bauple, this shady rest area offers a central spot to park and explore Bauple’s attractions. Overnight camping is available for self contained caravans and RVs.  Maximum stay is 48 hours.  Fits approx 4 vans.

To provide regulation to Council’s bush and basic non commercial camping grounds, a camping permit system has been introduced.

Permits are $10 for a stay of up to 48 hours and can be obtained from:
  • The Visitor Information Centres in Maryborough and Hervey Bay;
  • The Royal Hotel, Tiaro;  and
  • The Bauple Museum.
Permits are required to utilise these facilities or on the spot fines will apply.

Proceeds from the permit system will be held in a reserve fund to be used to improve the facilities.

Compared to other RV spots this one lacks character. Open space with no trees or anything of interest. Better off staying at park immediately after turning off Bruce Highway from south. Bigger shadier and heaps more character.

Bauple is a small town and the stopover is right in the town in the main street. The area is small and could only accommodate about six rigs but a quiet place for a stopover. There is not a lot of facilities, no shops etc but an excellent museum walking distance from the park. Shopping facilities at Tiaro about 12klms away.
