Yongala is a small town, with a population of approximately 240 people, located 238 kilometres north of Adelaide. This quiet little town offers RV tourists an affordable, low cost stay at the Yongala Recreation Park.

Yongala Recreation Park can be found at the southern end of the town’s Main Street. Here, RV travellers can park for up to 72 hours at the request that a small donation be made at the nearby Globe Hotel. The grounds provide  bins, toilets, water and covered seating . Pets are permitted for those who enjoy travelling with their furry friends.

Situated on approximately 10 acres of land, the grounds can accommodate a number of vehicles at any one time, including big rigs. Located in what used to be a railway town, with many heritage listed buildings, any visit to the area is sure to be enjoyed.

Parking: 72hrs, self-contained vehicles only, pets on lead, bins, toilets, water, covered seating

Great little Park. If you just want to sit and relax it is ideal. We had half an hours entertainment watching the neighbouring farmer round up three sheep. Pub was great, nice and warm with a locomotive heater, and meal a bargain for ten dollars (it was farmers night so a choice of only two types - but other nights a full menu choice). Pub not open for meals on Monday and Tuesday night when we were there. Well worth a visit.
