Aire River West Campground - Great Otway National Park

This large, flat and open campground is located on the western side of the Aire River where fishing and canoeing can be enjoyed. It’s a good place for large groups to camp. Please check Park information as the flats are prone to flooding and may be closed.

Access:  The camping area is located off Sand Road from the Great Ocean Road. The campground has river access.

Bookings:  Advanced bookings and payment are required year round.

Campsites:  There are 40 campsites available accommodating a maximum of 6 people per site. All campsites are unpowered. Sites 1-5, sites 17-23 and sites 27-40 are suitable for large caravans; sites 7-11 are suitable for small caravans; sites 12-16 are suitable for tents only. All other sites are suitable for tents, camper-trailers, campervans or recreational vehicles.

Facilities:  Non-flush toilets, a picnic shelter, shared picnic tables, on-site information, access to the Great Ocean Walk, shared fireplaces and a boat landing are available.

Campfire:  Only allowed in fireplaces provided – supply your own wood. Fuel stoves or your own gas barbeque are preferred for cooking.

Water:  Some water is available but is not suitable for drinking – supply your own.

Rubbish:  There is no rubbish collection at this campground. Please take all rubbish with you.
