Alex Trevallian Park - NSW RVFT

Free Camping - New South Wales

This free camping area has a maximum stay of 2 nights.  It is large and well set out.  It is flat and has gravel parking for caravans and grassy areas for tents.  It offers plenty of shade.

Here you will find toilets, water, dump point, covered picnic tables, BBQ's and dogs are permitted.  Definitely, one of the good rest areas.  Don't forget to check out the old machinery here as well.

Great spot. Clean and tidy. Some areas have logs forming the parking bay but many don't so there is plenty of room for large and small rigs. Hot Pools are 2k into town at the swimming pool. They were closed when I was there on Monday 15th Oct and the Information Centre didn't know why.

April 2019 and it has to be the driest we have ever encountered this area of NSW. There is no grass whatsoever in the camp which is well set out. There are individual sites which have recently been gravelled. A two plate BBQ for those who use them. Toilets are rough but useable. There is one tap in the centre of the grounds marked filtered water. See photo.

Basic but has toilets, picnic tables, marked bays and at the moment very dry. Definitely worth the stop.

Great spot. Very clean and tidy. Some bays are marked out with logs but there is plenty of room for big and small rigs. Lots of covered tables and benches. about 2 klms from the hot pools.

Great setup wouldn’t hesitate to stay overnight as long as other vans were there

Currently only hard standing due to the wet weather, so no parking on the grass. Was fairly busy probably people waiting to cross into Queensland as the border only opened today at midday.

A very adequate rest stop with dump point on edge of town. Well patronised. Toilets are flushing and quite adequate. Dump site was overflowing when we were there. Town image has improved somewhat.

The drinking water is a bit hard to find its actually near the electric BBQ and is marked. All the other taps are not potable. The site has clean brick toilet block just being painted when we arrived. There are a number of gravelled bays off a central BBQ area. There are medium sized trees that give shade. The sites are long enough for a car and van attatched but are not drive through. There is also a separate bitumen area that could accomodate several bus and trailer vehicles. The place is easy to find past the Hospital and opposite the cemetery at the south edge of town. I think its at least a 4 rating.

Not a very inviting place to stay but adequate. Has been effected by the heavy rains and lots of water still in the puddles that block part of the access.

I really liked this spot. Very quiet considering where it's located. BBQ's and toilets clean. Level and plenty of room for a big rig. Would definitely stay again.

Great spot and looks like getting an upgrade. It was very welcome after travelling NSW roads.
