Discovery Parks - Robe

Caravan Park - South Australia

Robe is a South Australian family holiday favourite and we know you’ll love it, too. Multi-award winning Discovery Parks - Robe (formerly known as Big4 Discovery Parks - Robe) is just an hour from Millicent and four hours from Adelaide.

Our holiday park is a great base for exploring this loved South Australian beach town. What will your itinerary look like? Kick up the dirt and go four-wheel driving through Little Dip National Park. Learn how to surf and catch a wave off Long Beach. Go for a paddle on the Robe Lakes. Taste local froths at the Robe Town Brewery. Discovery Parks – Robe is in the midst of it all. Choose your base: a cabin with the works or a site to set up your own caravan. When the day comes to an end and the cool breeze rolls in, eat your cooked crayfish by the foreshore and watch the sun go down.

Accommodation  includes a range of cabins, ensuite sites, powered and unpowered sites.

Stayed 2 nights and had a large site for our 11 m RV plus a car (on an A-Frame) A heated inside pool and sports area was great. The location is on the edge of town, 5 minutes drive and probably a 20 minute walk, which we didn't do because it rained most of our stay. The facilities were very nice including the BBQ which was kept spotless every day. A dump site accessible by RV's as well is there. Entry is by boom gates both in and out. Will return again when the weather is more friendly. The town itself is nice with lots of eateries and a large supermarket.

A couple of kilometres north of the Robe town centre or a 40 minute walk along an undulating cliff-top path on foot. This would be unsuitable for the elderly and anyone with walking difficulties. A disappointing 15 minute process to check in but otherwise well run. We were attracted by the mention of an indoor swimming pool but did not make use of it as it appeared to be solely for toddlers. This large Discovery park is well laid out with some treed sites. Modern shiny and clean toilet and shower facilities. Watering of the grassy areas was carried out non-stop with the consequent risk of inadvertent showers and tripping over hoses at night. Good WiFi.

What a lovely place to stay, lovely grassed area and we were given a drive thru site due to our length of 26ft, plus towed car, which consisted of two smaller sites. Not the cheapest place, but nice to spoil ourselves. Highly recommend staying here, we had a credit from a WA Discovery Park which was able to be transferred here without any issue. Lovely town.
