This free camping river is located alongside the Turon River. Nearby is the old gold mining town Sofala. Try your hand at gold panning in the river. Why not have a swim or do some fishing here as well. This large camping area has a mix of grassy and rocky sites depending on where you choose to camp. There is plenty of shade on offer here. You will find toilets with disabled access, water, picnic tables and fireplaces.

Great camp site we stayed in our motor home near the river. lots of camp sites on grass. very quiet spot lots of water in river running very fast. beautiful spot kangaroos.

Stayed one night. River low, but was able to have a dip. Plenty of shaded areas and fires in situ, even during this hot spell.

Very secluded spot amongst the trees by the river. We stayed in our motor home. River was running fast as had a lot of rain.
