Whalebone Bay

Whalebone Bay is approx. 25km from Denham.  It offers easily accessible flat sides ideal for caravans only a short distance from the beach.

Permission must be obtained from the shire office either by telephone or in person during office hours (8am-4pm Mon-Fri).  People found camping without authorisation will incur a $1000 fine.  

There are no facilities here and fires are not permitted.  Fresh water is not available at the campsite but can be obtained from the Water Corporation tanks located on the Monkey Mia Road turnoff which are coin operated.  Strictly max  24 hour stay.

Turn off Denham-Hamelin Road at GPS co-ordinates and follow unsealed road to campsites.

easy 1km access to a good area close to the beach. Max 24hr stay with no renewal. No phone coverage here, so phone before arriving. You can only call on day of arrival, no advance booking. Or book at the Denham visitor centre.
