This free camping area is popular with 4WD's, trail bikes and ATV's. It has got plenty of tracks to explore. The road is narrow in places as well as unsealed and hilly. Discretion on your abilities is required. It is grassy and has plenty of shade and is located on the banks of the South Esk River. Facilities here include toilets with disabled access, picnic tables and BBQ's. It's a great spot for swimming, fishing.
To access: Travel north on the B43 for 25km from Fingal to the Mathinna turn off. Turn right across the bridge and then take the first left for approx. 600 metres where you reach a riverside picnic area. Follow the signs for a further 6kms until you reach Griffith Park.
