This is a large free overnight rest area.  It is gravel based with pockets away from the main area that you can tuck into.  Here you will find toilets with disabled access, picnic tables, wood BBQ's and a dump point.

Free and large 24 hour rest area 45 km south of the Billabong Roadhouse. Must be self-contained. Moderate sized tarmac area near bins and fire places. Much larger dirt base sites surrounding. Facilities include drop toilets, bins, fire-places and dump point. Reasonable Telstra reception but no Optus/TV. Suited as an overnight stopover and is very popular on that basis. Fuel and food available at the Billabong Roadhouse.

The main area is now sealed and still has plenty of off shoots to find a more private spot.

Lovely spacious rest area, picnic tables under shady trees, plus a couple of shelter facilities. Toilet, rubbish bins and fire pits. Clean and well serviced.
