Located just minutes off the New England Highway on Castlerag Road Kookaburra Camping and Caravan Park is approximately halfway between the northern NSW New England towns of Glen Innes and Tenterfield. Look for the signs about 12 kilometres north of Deepwater.
Kookaburra Park has a variety of camping and accommodation options, from tent sites, caravan and motorhome sites within our campground, to a luxury eco cottage.

Beautiful country setting. Good amenities. Supplied firewood for a small donation. Great place for a stopover or just to chill out for a few days on the road.

Our CMCA Chapter had our monthly outing at Kookaburra Camping & Caravan Park, the host Duncan was very accommodating nothing was a problem. Showers and toilets are 5 star. Wood is supplied for both the camp fires and the camp kitchen (which accommodated our groups cooking needs, 5 cooks at the same time). Lots of shady trees where we sat around sharing a meal and a drink plus a yarn or two. The wild life is plentiful with sheep, kangaroos and numerous bird life, scenic views and plenty of easy going walking trails through the bush that is so quiet and very peaceful.
I would highly recommend Kookaburra if you are travelling on the New England Highway between Glen Innes & Tenterfield in NSW, do yourself a favour and pay a visit, we all agreed we will return.
