Springbrook Host Farm

Farm Stay - Queensland

Springbrook is a two thousand five hundred acre cattle property comprising open grazing land and blue gum ridges.  The family run Droughtmaster Cattle.   Fodder crops are grown and made into hay and silage for winter feed.  There are two olive groves and Spring Gully Olives is a vertically integrated enterprise from growing and processing through to the point of sale.

The homestead affords comfortable accommodation in one double and one twin room.  There is also a ‘sleepout’ (closed in verandah room) capable of sleeping four people in bunk beds.  There is an 11 metre saltwater swimming pool in front of the house with a large lawn area which can be used for croquet, boule and other ball games.

Springbrook Host Farm offers half board, or bed and breakfast, with the opportunity to relax or to take part in farm activities or to explore the property seeing the wildlife and the countryside around.

The new homestead, Anne’s House, has accommodation in a double room with ensuite facilities and is available either as B & b or half board.

Bush camping is allowed on the property for those who would like to have a few days away from the stress and strain of city life.   There are no toilets or showers, but campers may bring their own.  There are dams for swimming, shared with the cattle and horses and many varieties of wildlife to be watched including numerous birds and several koala.

The swimming pool may be used by campers if there is no one in the homestead. Bush campers may also bring 4WD vehicles and dirt bikes to use on the rough tracks at the back of the property.  Dogs are welcome if under control as there are cattle, horses and plenty of wildlife on the property which have to be respected.
