The Alpine National Park offers some of the most authentic and scenic bush camping opportunities in Victoria. Camping in the park is suited to experienced hikers and campers that are self sufficient.
Anglers Rest is a large open campground on the banks of the crystal clear Cobungra River. A great place for anglers and kayakers. Basic facilities are provided such as drop toilets a picnic table and constructed fireplaces adjacent to the Omeo Highway. Camp sites are small and sloping, so best for tents and small campers and caravans.

Lovely grassed area beside clear, running river. Flat areas, tables and fire pits, some with BBQ plates. Although only around 30 klm from Omeo, it is a very winding and narrow road in. Time took by us was approximately 35 minutes. Blue Duck Pub and restaurant close to camping area. One drop toilet on site.
