This free camping area is located on the banks of the Murray River. It is bush camping with no facilities. There is plenty of shade if desired. There is a boat ramp here to launch from and it's a good place for fishing and kayaking. There are also some good walking trails here as well. It is recommended that a 4WD is used in wet weather as it gets boggy.
From the Waikerie District Visitor Information Centre proceed to the roundabout and take the third exit down McCoy Street.
Continue forward onto Peake Terrace until you pass the Waikerie Holiday Park on your right. Take the next right hand turn down Leonard Norman Drive and continue down this road and it will bend around to the left and turn into Edgar Bartlett Drive. Follow this road along for a few hundred metres and the road will turn into an unsealed road.
Camping is permitted along the river front on the right hand side. Please note there is limited space for caravans and RVs. Majority of the camping areas are more suited to tents.
