This is a large free camping area on the banks of the Condamine River. There are no facilities here so you need to be self contained. It's a great spot to have a rest and do some fishing or maybe have a dip in the river to cool you off on hot days. There is a maximum stay limit of 72 hours.
Love this place extremely quiet and semi secluded with a really huge area available to campers. There is lots of shade if you require it and lots of open space too plus there is almost one kilometer of river frontage (Condamine River) camping available though in many places it is difficult to get right down to the water. Fishing swimming kayaking walking push bike riding etc would be great in this area.
This is deep in the heart of a Darling Downs farming area so while I was there there was a slight crops odor that I could not identify however it was not strong nor unpleasant and I soon got used to it.
This is a great area and while this does have a 72 hour limit I feel (personal opinion) that an extra day or two would be quite acceptable however I would hate to see it abused by folks that overstay their welcome and ruin it for everyone else.
