Campground features: Suitable for small groups, this pretty campground among casuarina trees provides a wilderness camping experience. Access to the southern beach and Little Armit Island is prohibited between 1 October and 31 March (inclusive) each year to protect sea, shore and migratory birds.

Location: South-west corner of Armit Island, approximately 17 km north-west of Airlie Beach.

Access: The campground can be reached by boat (only). It has a good sandy beach and anchorage, and is accessible at all tides.

Number of sites: Open area without separately defined sites. Maximum of 12 people.

Campsites are suitable for: walk-in camping; large groups.

Campsite surface: Sand and rubble.

Facilities: None.

Open fires: Prohibited.

Generators: Not permitted.

Essentials to bring: Drinking water, rubbish bags, insect repellent, fuel stove.
