Tungatinah Lagoon

Free Camping - Tasmania

Favourite

Small areas suitable for motorhomes and campers with informal camping near the boat ramp or along the track below the dam wall.

No conveniences except a boat ramp.

Stopping places can be uneven.

Bring your own water, firewood and portable toilet, and then go fishing.

Great place, so peaceful trees and water, what more do you need and only 4 other campers. Felt like we are in the real Australia. Camped on the top part and it was level. I have included some photos in separate posting.

A very peaceful spot, good access, no facilities but lovely views. No phone reception.

Tungatinah Lagoon really only has a boat ramp and a few areas where you can park your Motorhome. You can be close to the boat ramp, or at the far end of the dam wall. Plenty of shade. This is a good alternative to Brady's Lake that can be busy and it is not as exposed. Quite close to the 'Wall', a wall of amazing carving that all will marvel at.
