Cowra Van Park

Caravan Park - New South Wales

Cowra Van Park offers a range of powered and unpowered sites, including concrete slab, grass and drive through sites. We also have a selection of self contained ensuite cabins. Our WiFi is free and we are proud to be a pet friendly park. Our facilities include a well equipped camp kitchen with electric BBQs, spotless amenities – with shower screens, coin operated laundry, town water and most importantly we offer service with a smile. Cowra Van Park is well positioned beside the Lachlan River and an easy stroll to the CBD main street where you will find restaurants, clubs, pubs, cafes and shops. The caravan park backs onto some beautiful sporting grounds and parks – ideal for a morning or afternoon walk. We are only a short walk to the Visitor Information Centre where you will enjoy a world class hologram telling the story of the Cowra Breakout and be able to source a selection of local produce including some local award winning wines. Cowra is centrally located to other towns including Bathurst, Orange, Young, Forbes, Parkes, Grenfell, Canowindra, Carcoar, Millthorpe and other well worth seeing villages. This makes Cowra Van Park the ideal base for you to go exploring. Take the time to appreciate Cowra’s Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre, the Prisoner of War Camp and Japanese War Cemetery, as well as our own World Peace Bell and surrounding national parks. This is the second time we have stayed here and would recommend it. There is some traffic noise but not excessively in our experience. It is well grassed and the facilities are very clean. This time there was a large flock of corella roosting in the trees by the river which were very noisy.

Beautiful van park, great facilities, helpful managers, great for our 2 puppies. We'll be back!

We’ve just made a return visit to this park, and it continues to be immaculate and very enjoyable. The tip is to book ahead, as they completely fill the park every night.

Lovely place beside river, helpful staff, would like to stay longer.

This council owned van park is managed by Nick & Rob two very professional young men who go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome nothing is too much trouble for these two. The facilities although aged are impeccably clean and tidy. Shops are a short stroll away as are a number of cafes pubs and restaurants. Courtesy bus available for local clubs.

We will be back to stay again soon. Will recommend this place for a great park to come back to.

Everything at this park is immaculate and the staff very helpful. Only downside is the traffic noise day and night over the bridge. If possible seek out a side furtherest away from that end. Easy walk on paths in to town or across the river to the Information Centre.

Great location. Well maintained.Clean amenities Loved the location so much stayed an extra night. Would stay there again.

Great park, clean and tidy with the managers at all times attentive. Will definitely stay here again.

Park is right in town and beside the river, walking distance to shops, pubs. The managers are very attentive to detail and making sure all are happy. Amenities are aged but impeccably clean, laundry available ($3 washers and dryers)
