Barker Rocks Camping Area

Situated on the west coast of the Peninsula, 12 kilometres north-west of Minlaton, on Barkers Rocks Road - BYO water and firewood – 5 kilometre walking trail to Port Rickaby – good fishing from rocks - no shade – no facilities - there are two camping areas and one day use car park

There are many secluded spots to camp on Yorke Peninsula, with 19 designated campgrounds within the Yorke Peninsula Council region.  A permit per vehicle is required to camp at these places, with the permit transferable between all 19 campgrounds. 

Permits are $10 per vehicle, per night OR $50 per week (5-7 nights), $150 per month (28 nights), or $500 per year, with discounts for local ratepayers. This permit does NOT cover Innes National Park.

Bush camping with no facilities, some protection from the wind behind the front dune. Nice and quiet and quick walk over dune to beach, very pleasant stay over.

There is now a new covered rest area with a tank for drinking water. Self contained RVs only.
