This is a massive free camping area located along the Gwyder River where the most popular thing to do is fish. The GPS co-ordinates is for the entrance to the rough dirt track that you head north on to the camp site (approx 3kms). The reserve is signposted off the highway.
This is a dry weather access only camping area as when it floods, you will be stranded at best.
You need to be self sufficient out here as there are no facilities. The camping area is grassy and has plenty of shade if desired. It's a very quiet and relaxing place. There is plenty of bird life to look at. Dogs are permitted here.
An enormous campground with numerous scenic sites alongside the river. Tranquil and ideal if you're looking for a quiet stay surrounded by nature.
I will be penciling in this campsite for next time in the area.

We stayed at this site in August 2017 there is so much room it will take the largest 11+ metre vehicle.
It definitely is NOT a place you would go in the wet weather.
This is a place to relax & enjoy the tranquility of the bush go fishing bird watching or just sit & watch the cattle graze that share this site with us.
There is a drop toilet a shelter with a table at the first stop or if you keep going approximately another 1 kilometers there is another shelter with tables (there is no toilet at the second location).
