Has 2 separate entrances, one leads to well protected campsites amongst the trees, the other, on the far side of the lagoon, leads to a more open, grassy camping area (larger caravans/motorhomes can access this area).
Facilities: Pit Toilets, no water or firewood, no rubbish collection. Maximum stay 4 weeks.
Access to the southern section of the Bay of Fires is via the Binalong Bay Road (C850 ) out of St Helen’s. Take the turnoff on the left into the C848 at the sign - “The Gardens – 13 Kms” This is a sealed road. The road terminates at private land at “The Gardens”.

We stayed at Cosy Corner North campsite with our 13ft caravan because it offered excellent protection from the the strong NW, W and SW winds blowing at the time , but still had excellent access to the superb beach . Cosy Corner South seems to have a smaller beach area and Swimcart Beach campsite was way too exposed to wind at the time. Cosy Corner North campsite is suitable for both big and small rigs. Good flat sites, not too sandy but you need to be totally self sufficient here. Fill with water and visit dump point at St Helens before you come here. Hybrid toilets are provided (but not toilet paper). All rubbish needs to be taken away with you. Very popular free camping area so the earlier you arrive during the day the better. We visited mid-November , but even then many sites were filled by about 3pm. Highly recommended.

Lovey spots all along the 5 campgrounds through here. Can get sites with views, however it can get very busy, especially on weekends.
As per the previous review there are absolutely no facilties near by. Only a drop toilet at each camp area.
