One of the Riverland's most popular picnic spots, Martin Bend Reserve is situated on the banks of the Murray River a short distance from the centre of Berri.

A popular spot for swimming and water skiing, the reserve also has barbecue areas and a boat ramp. It is also one end of the Lions Club Walking Trail, a two kilometre trail passing along the Berri riverfront linking Martin Bend Reserve with the Berri Marina and the centre of town.

This camping area has a maximum 21 day stay.  It is low cost at $5 per night.  There is an honesty box however, council staff will come by daily to collect fees and there is an on-site caretaker.  

It is a lovely place to stay with scenic views.  The sites are large, grassy and has plenty of shade if desired.  Its a great place for fishing with a boat ramp.  

Here you will find toilets, non-potable water, picnic tables, BBQ's, dump point, generators are allowed until 10:30pm and dogs are permitted.

This is an excellent camping spot plenty of room lots of shade if you want it and large areas to walk the dog. Peaceful and quiet. Definitely a place to return to.

Site a short distance from Berri. Good tarred road access. The camping places are away from the river in the dusty semi desert area. However, grassed river bank is pleasant to sit and picnic on. Good TV, Phone reception. Dump point on site.

Beautiful camp site on the river very quite good place to stay wile looking around the area

A great spot for a 4 night shakedown trip from Adelaide in our recently purchased Swagman. A number of vans present but still plenty of shaded and sunny spots available. An easy 2km walk or bike ride into Berri via the Lions walking trail. Recommend River Jack’s Cafe for a coffee when you get there too. I suspect this has set a pretty high bar for future sites well visit.

Fantastic spot. $5 to caretaker. It is dusty so the pets can get dirty, but well worth the stop Member 121848. 5/4/22

Lovely spot on the Murray Rv. Access is from the eastern side of Martens Bend Rd. $5 pvpn. Caretaker on site.

What a great place. Wasn’t going to come to Berri this trip but I am so glad we did. Right on the Murray, plenty of room and clean toilets. Very happy and will most certainly return in the future when we don’t have time constraints.

Lovely campground well off the highway and close to the river. Shade or sun.
