Nundubbermere Falls Camping - Sundown National Park

Sundown provides a variety of camping experiences. Camping areas at The Broadwater and Nundubbermere Falls can be accessed by conventional vehicles, while a rough 4WD track leads to camping areas at Red Rock Gorge, Reedy Waterhole and Burrows Waterhole. All camping areas, except Red Rock Gorge, are on the Severn River. Bush camping is permitted in all areas of the park. For your safety consult rangers about your proposed trip and to learn of park conditions or special operations such as planned burns. Camping permits are required for all nights spent in the park.

Sundown is a rugged wilderness area of spectacular sharp ridges and steep-sided gorges. The Severn River and its tributaries, woodland birds and remains of pastoral and mining heritage can be discovered via maintained walking tracks, challenging remote walks or the four-wheel-drive (4WD) track.  Camping and walking are best between May and September when you can expect cold nights, frosty mornings and warm, clear days. Summer can be hot and humid.

Book online at https://qpws.usedirect.com/qpws/ or by phone or at the self-registration station at the park entrance. Advance bookings are essential for all Queensland long weekends. No self-registration is available on long weekends.
