Please note - Whitsunday Regional Council would like to advise that the Proserpine RV Park will be temporarily closed from 6am Wednesday 27 April 2022 due to wet weather. Once the ground has suitably dried out the park will be reopened to welcome travellers through Proserpine.

Proserpine now offers a free RV park for travellers to stop in and explore! It is the perfect place to base yourself to see what the heritage heart of The Whitsundays has on offer.

The RV Park is located adjacent to St Catherine’s Church in the Proserpine Main Street, opposite Pioneer Park, no permit is required for your stay, however, time is limited to 48 hours.

A short stroll through Proserpine’s Main Street will have you in awe of the charming art-deco inspired buildings and shops selling one-of-a-kind-finds! Be sure to stop in at one of the country pubs while you’re visiting, you’ll be sure to find a local keen for a yarn. In an area so rich with history, a stop into the Proserpine Museum is a must during your stay.

A dump point is available on-site.

Fantastic location. Enter between church and hardware shop as behind church. Lovely flat grassed area for self contained. Terrific set up of Water tap to top up tanks and Dump Point location as you go in/out. Bins there also. Bakery a couple doors up is a must visit and Woolworths right across street.

I visited this site last week and they had put closed signs on gates. Also no RV parking beside church.

we have just spent 2 nights here, excellent facilities and both nights it was full, I sent an email to council thanking them for the facility.

Fantastic facility right in town opposite Woolworths. Great bakery and Asian food just around the corner. Well done Proserpine!
