There are no designated sites so camping is free-range, just find the best spot that suits. The area is subject to flooding and can become very boggy when it rains (not often). There may even be some interesting locals call in for a visit from time to time.

Plenty of space. No go in wet. Close to town. Showers and toilets a kilometre away in town so not very convenient.

This is such a nice camp. It is easy walking distance to the town centre. It has toilets and there are showers a short walk further on. Water is readily available as are garbage bins.

This is a perfect camping site within walking distance of Blackall shops. We were visited most mornings by a Local on Horse back who would put out a welcome to all and answer any questions about the Area.
Not a good site if wet weather is on the way. Can be extremely popular with travellers.

This is a great spot to camp. It is close to the shops. Has a toilet and dump point as well as a number of taps for fresh water. Blackall is a pretty town with lots of local attractions to see. Will definitely stay here again.

Bush camp, pick your own site. Short walk to town and thermal swimming pool. Shady and open sites, some grass and some dirt. Thanks Blackall.

Stayed one night, plenty of room but be very careful if rain is around. There was a motor home bogged when we got there and had been for a week. He got out when we were there but does make for an enforced stay, black soil country and plenty of evidence of muddy tracks around the place.

Plenty of room to camp for any sized rig. Very conveniently located in centre of town, behind the main street. Plenty of fresh water taps (although bore water) but Visitor Information Centre says is safe. Payment/Permit obtained from Visitor Information Centre $10pn per vehicle/caravan.
Toilet close by. Dump point.
Lots to do in town, the working heritage museum is a must, we got a free tour from a real character local. The Aquatic centre has a huge pool, with spa, sufficiently warm year round. Food at the local Barcoo Hotel is good adequate pub food, reasonably priced.
