This park is, to our thinking, the best location to stay to access the Hobart, Port Arthur and Bellrieve areas. Easy driving on the 2 lane 110km/hr freeway from the park in to the Tasman Bridge and then an easy exit takes you along the Derwent River to the wharf area. Since we stayed previously 4 years ago, the park has joined Big4 and its onsite managers have changed. Extra sites have been added putting strain on the single amenity block which is very poorly ventilated. The cleaners do a good job though. The clientelle has also changed and there is now a high proportion of rented motorhomes doing first and last night stays with all the associated laundry washing and cleaning and packing up before getting flights. This time all the grass is dead, which is disappointing. Note: The sites are small and narrow. You park your rig on the slab which means awnings are out over the grass (or dirt). Cars need to park in front of vans. It can be quite tricky to manoeuvre on and off sites.
