Bills Park Rest Area

Free Camping - New South Wales

Favourite

Bills Park is located in Conargo along the Deniliquin - Conargo Road.  This picturesque park has toilet and picnic facilities which are perfect for a break in your drive.  You are also able to short term camp along the Billabong Creek at Bills Park.  RV's have access to a dump point.

This park was dedicated in 1988 to two men in the district who served on the local Conargo Shire for a combined 73 years. With the unique names of Bill Lamb and Bill Bull the story has been told of both men booking into a Sydney Hotel and giving their surnames to the clerk, who often did not believe them.

This is a pretty rest stop but that is about it. There is a muddy brown creek but access is not easy. There is no water nor a toilet. The site is metres from the very busy Newell Highway. Truck noise never stops. There is also a railway line well within earshot. I could not get TV reception on any channel.
