This free camping area is accessed via a 5km gravel road with easy access for all cars and caravans. It is located beside the "lake" which is either more a creek or a lake depending on recent rainfall. However, it is a scenic place with grassy areas and nice spot to stay a few days. It has toilets, picnic tables, and dogs are permitted here.
Stayed here 1 night 21/2/2022. Lots of vans and tents jammed into the 80m between gravel access rd and water. There is a Tumbarumba music festival soon. Toilets clean and plenty of rubbish bins. Other van owners advised us to try to keep as far from road as we could, to minimise fine drifting road dust, but not possible. Van looks like we have done 1000ks of desert ,not just 7ks . Maybe we would come back if road dust problem was solved.
A great free camp-site right by the water. Toilets are clean and tidy
