Frog Buttress is the only camping area in Moogerah Peaks National Park. Named after the northern-facing cliff line by rock climbers in the early 1970s, this camping area is normally booked out by climbers from Easter till late October each year. During this time it is recommended that families wishing to camp should consider alternative campgrounds or accommodation.
- Access: By conventional vehicle; camper vans and small mobile homes.
- Number of sites: 2 sites (separate but not numbered).
- Camp sites are suitable for: car-camping, camper trailers and small mobile homes.
- Camp site surface: Gravel.
- Facilities: None at site but close to flushing toilets, picnic tables, wood barbecues, limited firewood supplied.
- Open fires: Prohibited but barbecues are allowed (except when fire bans apply). Fuel stoves are recommended.
- Generators: Not allowed.
- Essentials to bring: Drinking water, rubbish bags, insect repellent, fuel stove and sunscreen.
- Bookings: Book online, over-the-counter, or by phone.
- Mobile phone coverage: Generally available.
