Log Bridge Creek Campground - Kosciuszko NP

National Park - New South Wales

There are no designated campsites at this campground.  It is grassy with plenty of shade if desired.

Activities: paddling, sailing and boating, swimming, fishing, day walking

Natural setting: grassy woodlands

Getting there: Access is via the Snowy Mountains Highway, approximately 17 km south of Tumut.

Facilities: picnic tables, wood barbecues (bring your own firewood), non-flush toilets, boat ramp

Water supply: This campground is within 200 m of Blowering Dam high water mark, however the water level is variable. All water collected for drinking should be boiled for approximately 5-10 minutes.

This place is peaceful, spacious & very scenic. If you drive beyond the entrance area where picnic tables & toilet are there are wide open grassy areas with wrap around water & mountain views. Week nights may be the best time to stay here.

Watch for the entrance carefully when approaching from Tumut. At the bottom of the decent is a paved road on the left. This is the entrance to the campsite. Follow this around & over a bridge until you come to the picnic area. Beautiful peaceful place. One drop toilet. Gorgeous views. Not many flat areas at the picnic area where the toilet is. Drive a little further for a mostly flat area on the right with views over the dam. Room for about 6 vans. Big rigs should take care that there is room for them to turn. If more than a few vans this may be difficult. The first entrance into this area requires 4WD. The second turn into this area is the best to use but is a tight right angle. We didnt see any other areas suitable for vans. We were lucky & had the place to ourselves. We would return here it was lovely.
