Noosa's most affordable RV STOPOVER!  Welcome to the convenience of the Cooroy RV Stopover in the heart of Cooroy and only 20mins from Noosa beach.

A bustling little town in the Noosa Hinterland ideally located amongst rolling hills and mountains near Lake Macdonald, the Noosa Botanic Gardens and the Noosa Trails.  Cooroy is a gateway to the Noosa beaches as well as Pomona, Eumundi and Tinbeerwah. Abundant with history, nature experiences, outdoor activities, crafts, art, cafe, shopping, dining and friendly people.  Cooroy also hosts the railway station leading directly to Brisbane and Gympie.

Please note:

  • Not suitable for rigs over 12.5 metres in length.
  • Only park in the permitted areas (refer site map) and do not intrude on community club buildings or their amenities.
  • Grey water disposal to ground is not permitted.
  • Camping is not permitted (no tents, camper trailers, backpacker vans or caravans that are not fully self-contained). SELF-CONTAINED MEANS: all the resources needed to live must be on board and contained within the vehicle. This includes sleeping, cooking, refrigeration, power supplies (gas/solar/batteries), fresh water supplies, toilet/shower, and holding tanks for both black and grey water. Grey water or “sullage” is not to be disposed to the ground.
  • No fires or generators allowed.
  • Dogs permitted – must be kept on a leash when outside the vehicle, and must not be left unattended at any time.
  • There is a dump point facility available adjacent to the stopover.
  • Please dispose of waste appropriately in the refuse bins.

WARNING – This site is prone to flash flooding please leave the area when directed or if there is heavy rain.

Very noisy site no matter where you park. This would be the noisiest camp site in Australia. No water on site, however, a water tap is located near the dump point just before the entrance to the camp site. If you need water, fill up before parking. No generators, not quite correct, a camper had a generator running when we arrived.

Good grassed area. You must be self contained, no power available. No generators allowed. Don't park along the fenced side if you can avoid it, the industrial business next door worked through the night when we were there, but the noise wasn't enough to keep us awake. Very pretty short walk into the shopping areas. Rubbish bin and dump point just outside the camping area.

Very large well grassed sites despite the dry. We were not at all disturbed by the occasional noise from the factory. Water available at 2 spots just outside the wooden fence as well as near the dump point. Enjoyable walk to this lovely town. Very friendly young caretakers. Will definitely return.

Great spot. Lovely green grass to camp on. Water available rubbish bins and dump point. Easy stroll to a cute little friendly town. Noise has never been obvious on 2 separate occasions.

good area ....noisey but only through the day evenings fine. Must be self contained. " CARAVANS " are dumping there water into BUCKETS that's not self contained. .

Factory next door operates industrial saws, nail guns and compressors till 9 pm and restarts at 5 am. What idiot at Cooroy Council decided to place an rv stopover in such a noisy environment?

Thankyou Cooroy...excellent stopover spot, welcoming caretakers, $12 pvpn. Large grassed area, easy to turn and manoeuvre big rigs, dump point, rubbish bins and water.

Spacious level area with onsite caretaker $12pn, considerable industrial noise during the day but none audible during the evenings of our two night stay. Walking distance to lovely town. Thank you council for perfect overnighter.
