Great little showground. Arty the caretaker very helpful pointed us to a good meal at the pub. We happened to mention that we are flying home for Christmas. He asked were we would be leaving our motor home He offered us a $5.00 a night rate Thanks Arty a real gem

Basic showgrounds facilities and OK for a overnight stop over. We found the grounds full of burrs and very difficult for the dog.

Arty made us most welcome, we paid for four nights and stayed ten nights. Basic Showground with some power and water sites. There is a shower and toilets. Fees are $15.00 per night or $90.00 per week, with or without power and water.
Suitable for big rigs.

Other reviewers have been on the mark, good spot, caretaker, Arty a good bloke, good value for money. Only complaint is that toilet block lights go on at 6pm and off at 6am - both a bit late on short winter days! Plan to stay a while, Burra is a heritage gem, from fascinating copper mines to old prisons and houses -even an underground brewery storage. Get the heritage key for $25 from info centre and wander around at your leisure.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Arty the caretaker is very welcoming and helpful. Not all sites have water but you can fill your tanks up. They are making improvements all the time. Burra is a very historic town and make sure you get the key passport from the information centre. Allows you into restricted historic sites.

26/9/21. Dont know about Arty, but were met by a very grumpy caretaker with an unleashed dog that had a go at our leashed dog. $15.00 for un powered and no water. One shower working. Very poor quality particularly after many excellent similar sites.

Stayed 4 nights at the Showgrounds. We have a large RV and a car towed behind on an A-frame. Phoned day before to make a booking. Arty met us at arrival and had a spacious site available at the top section with a nice view. Power was available. Grey water was OK to release. There is a proper Dump Site for Black Water and fresh quality water on tap nearby. There are toilets and a shower available although we did not use them much as we were self contained. Couldn't find anyone more helpful than Arty (Caretaker) who went out of his way to assist at all times.
