This free camping area is located on the banks of Lachlan River. The grounds are large, grassy, offers plenty of shade. Don't park under the branches of the Red River Gums as when they drop, they have been known to be deadly for anyone caught underneath them. It is a nice place to do some fishing or canoeing. There are no facilities here so you will need to be self sufficient.
It is also home to the historic graves of Henry Fox and his wife Sarah Fox who died in 1870 and 1871 respectively.
To get here turn off Lachlan Valley Way at the corner of Grey Street (GPS -33.610075, 148.418931) onto the dirt track for 500 metres until you reach the camping area.
