Bungendore Showground offers a large grassed area with plenty of shady trees for casual campers. It is suitable for tent, trailer, caravan and large rig camping. Bungendore Showground is 3kms west of Bungendore and Canberra is only 30 to 40 minutes away making Bungendore Showgrounds a convenient location to visit and explore the surrounding region. These dates will be noted on the Bungendore Showground Website calendar. Please call 0455 174 463, between 9 AM and 6 PM, in advance to check availability, a site can not be guaranteed if you have not enquired in advance. Power and water are not guaranteed to individual sites but there are adequate power outlets available in the camping area. Drinking water is available to fill water tanks, please disconnect from water after filling tanks as there is a minimal number of taps. Hot showers and toilets are available 24 hours in the brick amenities block. The showground is pet friendly. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control at all times. Please ensure you always clean up after your pets. Camp fires are permitted during non-fire-danger periods. All camp fires must be contained in the available fire-drums or user’s braziers / drums. The caretaker was very rude to me on my arrival because my phone can’t read QR codes and told me to “get lost”. He kept saying over and over I need to use the code even though I kept telling him my phone can’t read them. He also spoke down to me like I’m a fool. I told him he’s supposed to provide manual sign in according to NSW Health website, which he eventually did. He expects customers to have smart phones and yet he can’t accept card payment - cash only. I didn’t use the facilities so can’t comment about them. I only stayed one night and I won’t be back. I lived in Bungendore for 13 years until recently so I’ll stay with my old neighbours in future.

Ditto comment 18/6/18. Wish all Showgrounds were as good as this. What we saved on caravan park fees we spent in town and some extra $’s.

On arrival we were met by the caretakers Ken and Anne, Ken took me in his Golf Buggy and showed me the sites that suited our motorhome, and after we had set up a knock on the door and Ken appears with home made scones jam and cream a real surprise. We used this campsite as a base to explore Canberra as the caravan parks in Canberra are to expensive and not pet friendly. Highly recommend.

Bungendore Showground is out of town (10 minutes) but good place and has been improved since our last visit a year or two back. Plenty of room flat sites very dog friendly. Mix of powered and unpowered sites many with new power outlets. Buildings are old but toilets etc have been refurbished. You get nice clean showers (communal dressing area on blokes side) with good hot water and big round showerhead. Hot water to handbasins with mirror and plug. $20pn powered is on the high side for a country town showground but it is very pleasant and a lot cheaper than staying in Canberra Queanbeyan. And caretaker Ann delivers afternoon tea scones with cream and jam to all new arrivals! Dunno about tv reception though we got zero zip nada and caretakers said that was usual.

Great spot and under 1 hour to Canberra in peak hour. Very clean and well maintained.

What a lovely place plenty of shade facilities are spotless hot water showers are fab. And Ken and Ann the caretakers are so helpful and friendly. On arrival and all set up Ken shows up with Scones with Jam and Cream that Ann has made. They advised us that a Laundry and Camp Kitchen are going in shortly. Well worth the small fee you pay for power and water.

Came for a day and stayed a week. Brand new showers, amazing camp hosts and great TV and phone reception. No road noise and world class shops in the village. Highly recommended.
