This low cost campground is grassy and has plenty of shade options.  There is power available here as well.  Here you will find toilets, showers, water, picnic tables, BBQ's  and dogs on a leash are allowed.   There is a boat ramp here to launch your boat from.

Back in the 1880s, this lake was created for Campbell Town’s water supply. Today it’s a premium trout water, regularly stocked with rainbow trout, and said to offer some of Tasmania’s best early- and late-season wet fly-fishing. There’s a small camping ground directly opposite the boat ramp, and you’ll need to be self-sufficient with your own firewood and drinking water. Turn north off the B34, 34 km east of Campbell Town, or 30 km west of the Tasman Hwy A3. Drive 4 km along an unsealed access road to the boat ramp.

Around 3.5 Klm reasonable gravel road, but well worth it. Lovely views of the lake, hot showers, plenty of picnic tables and fireplaces, an undercover BBQ area and friendly caretaker. All water sighted was labeled non potable, and the dump point would be difficult to access for big rigs. Try some trout fishing!

Great place to stay, meals at hotel great value. Can walk short distance to hotel. Phil the caretaker is very friendly.
