The park is situated on the banks of the Birdsville Billabong and comprises 52 powered sites, three ensuited cabins, nine standard cabins, almost unlimited camping sites, an amenity block and a café. 

The caravan park is within walking distance to everything in town if your feeling energetic!

Birdsville is located 1600 kilometres west of Brisbane and around 1100 kilometres north of Adelaide. 

The town is an iconic tourist destination, with most visitors making a pilgrimage to the front bar of the famous Birdsville Hotel in pursuit of an ice cold beer and/or taking on the challenging Simpson Desert crossing.Birdsville is serviced twice weekly by flights from Mount Isa and Brisbane and once weekly from South Australia. 

Despite a relatively small population (110), Birdsville receives an estimated 50,000 tourists annually,   6,000 of whom attend in connection with the annual Races.

Well what a surprise, brand new Cabins, new and very large Camp kitchen photo's included all stainless steel air conditioned TV Wi Fi new laundry and 40 + new powered sites with new toilets shower combined.

We stayed here for just under 2 weeks during the Birdsville races. Sue and Col the managers, and their staff Steph Gavin Michelle Terry Burt Erica were always very friendly, courteous and very hard working. Together the park was very well run and they kept the amenities spotless. It has the best facilities we have ever seen especially the camp kitchen it was awesome We thoroughly recommend a visit to this great Caravan Park.

Tripigy stayed here in August 2013. We found the managers/staff to be extremely friendly. The campground is very large and is dirt based. Out here in the middle of Australia, there is not much grass. The amenities were excellent and was kept very clean. They have a kiosk here selling snacks and gifts and basic groceries. It is a 3 minute walk to everything in Birdsville. It's also the only caravan park here as well. Definately recommend staying here. Little oasis after driving through the Simpson Desert to get cleaned up. The rooms are basic but comfortable.
