The Carrieton Caravan Park was established in 2000 with funds from the Carrieton Rodeo Club and The Cropping Project committee.
Formerly the Carrieton rural school, which closed in 1997, it has been converted into a community-owned business. It offers private accommodation, powered sites and camping in a rural school setting. The park has lots of facilities for travellers to enjoy as well as offering disabled access and a pet friendly environment.
All facilities are modern and well kept and there is a disabled access bathroom available in camp grounds and cottage Indoor and outdoor kitchens available.
Accommodation
Horseshoe Whim Cottage
Formerly the Principals residence, Horseshoe Whim is now a self-contained air-conditioned cottage that caters for up to 8 people. The cottage has a double bed, 2 singles, a bunk and a foldout bed. Linen included.
The Library
The old school Library still has plenty of books to read. Staying in the Library gives you access to a queen size bed, 2 trundles and a foldout bed. Linen included. Can be included with the cottage for larger groups. Has outside amenities.
The Classroom
The old classroom is now a budget air-conditioned accommodation that sleeps up to twelve people. With 5 bunks and fold-away lounges, this is perfect for a group or large family, with outside amenities.
Double Budget
Double Budget is a separate room within the Budget accommodation and has a Double Bed with outside amenities.
Caravan and Camping
The lawned cricket oval has 12 powered sites on grass and formed gravel and many non-powered sites with an expansive view of the Oladdie Hills to the east.

The Art Room
All guests at the caravan park can enjoy the Art Room which has been converted into a community shed. It features a cosy wood heater, basic kitchen facilities, lounge and TV area along with local information. During the winter months this can also be a place for visitors to roll out their swag for $10 per person per night.
