This free camping area is located on the banks of the Mount Emu Creek. It has plenty of shade if desired. The little nomads will enjoy the playground here. You can swim here which is located on both sides of the highway via an underbridge pathway. The large grassy area is great for camping but can become boggy in wet weather.
Here you will find toilets with disabled access, undercover BBQ area with picnic tables and dogs are permitted.

12/3/2022 nice clean toilets,grassed area , next to Princes Hwy so could be a bit noisy. Friendly locals, quaint swimming hole for kids. Small area but room enough for motorhome etc. close to Warrnambool and great ocean road if elsewhere booked out. Thanks Panmure.

Nice convenient small camp spot not too far from Warrnambool and the start of the Great Ocean Road. Sorry didn't take photo of Camp Area but did of the Panmure Hotel that is just a very short walk up the road. We can highly recommend the great meal, atmosphere and friendly service we had there, a very pleasant gem awaits a visit. Not too many free camps around the Warrnambool area so please support this great little town on Panmure.

This is a very small area up beside the highway which has a constant stream of traffic. The toilets are good. Phone service is good. Bins available. Overhanging trees on the river side need to be avoided.
