Olive Hill Farm RV Campground

Private Campground - Western Australia

Favourite

We have established the 17 caravan/ camping bays to exclusively cater for those who enjoy farm life, farm produce and are looking to stay and relax in the Margaret River Region.

We have an introductory pricing of $7.50 per adult per night (excluding long weekends, Easter and 19th Dec to 20th of Jan when it is $10 per adult), $2.50 per child per night (6yrs to 16yrs), offering great value.

We are located only a short distance (10kms) from Margaret River and equidistant from Augusta and Dunsborough, so are centrally located, close to all amenities and offer a quiet location.

To clarify we are catering for those who are fully contained, in the form of their own toilet, either a built-in toilet or some form of Porta Potty to use of their own.

No backpacker vans (AKA Whizz Bangs) are permitted on the farm, although self contained vans are permitted as we appreciate this is how some choose to travel Australia. Camping in tents is not permitted unless associated with a caravan, motorhome or camper trailer.

If you are travelling with the love of your life (your Pet dog) then they can come and stay too. There are a few simple Dog Rules:

  • Dogs must either be secure inside the van, or on a lead, even around your campsite or down the Woodland Walk. No exceptions.
  • Owners must clean up and pick up behind their dogs.
  • Current up-to-date vaccination certificates must be available on request.
  • If owners go out, the dog must go with them.

The farm is a 150 acre working farm where we produce Eggs, Beef, Pork and Lamb all sold at local farmers Markets and direct to customers. Please ask if you would like to try our produce. We are currently also developing a large veggie garden to complete our self contained farming model.

Very welcoming camp hosts. Level sites and well maintained grounds. The site is secluded, hidden amongst an Olive plantation that is in turn is surrounded by very tall tree plantations. Beautiful walks through the woodland to a pontoon on the rivers edge. Campfire at 6pm for drinks and nibbles (BYO). Drop toilet that is very clean and water is available to purchase at a nominal cost. Owners Benji anda Helen are delightful - as is their Kelpie dog. There is a gravel road access for about 2kms whichever way you approach but easily navigable in a Motorhome. No power but generators are allowed 8.30am -5.30pm. Whilst we were there, 12 visitors and 1 generator ran for about 10 mins morning and night. Peace and quiet and fabulous night skies - all at very reasonable cost. The best value in the area.

A beautiful spot to stay whilst exploring the Margaret River area. Camp hosts plus owners Benji and Helen very welcoming. Some dirt road to the property, but worth the effort. Camp fire for happy hour.

As below. Wonderful camp site to visit the Margaret River area. Highly recommend. The nearby Colonial Brewery is definitely worth a visit for an ale and a whack on their lakeside golf range.

Have to agree with the other great reviews we really enjoyed our stay. Nice and central for exploring from Busselton to Augusta. Easy 15 minute drive to town. The dump point was good, but it is raised a few meters from road level so would not gravity flow if needed. Gravel road was fine on our arrival and was freshly graded today.

A beautiful gem hidden amongst olive trees. Welcoming camp hosts David and Robina explained the facilities and guided us to our parking site. The sites are well spread out so claustrophobia is not on the agenda. The evening camp fires were a great way to meet other guests and hosts alike. Benji and Helen (owners) are a lovely couple who are more than happy to interact - without being pushy. Water is available if you need to refill your tanks (nominal cost), generators allowed during the day and a drop toilet that is probably the cleanest in Oz! Access road is gravel for about 2kms from East or West but certainly ok for Motorhome sat a steady pace. Beautiful woodland walk (amazing variety in the plantation) to the river where there is a pontoon and swimming if desired. Dogs welcomed but must be kept on lead in the campsite. Well worth a visit.
