Herron Point Campground

Private Campground - Western Australia


This campground is not pre-bookable and sites are offered on a first come, first served basis. A maximum of 25 sites are available and camping fees are payable to the on-site caretaker.

There are sewered toilet facilities and a boat ramp. No power or potable water is available. Campfires are only permitted at certain times of the year in the fire pits provided only.

There is strictly no dump point on site with the nearest facility being located at Pinjarra Williams Road, Pinjarra (adjacent to the Heritage train station).

Maximum of two nights only, except over Western Australian public holidays where four nights are permitted.

Herron Point Campground is pet friendly. However, dogs must be on a leash at all times.

Relaxing and quiet spot on the Peel Estuary Current caretaker, Les, runs a well organised campsite and performs his job cheerfully and efficiently. Campsites well defined and roomy. Room for big rigs. Good beach for children. Dogs allowed on lead. Generators 8 am to 8 pm. Excellent crabbing in the season. Nearest dump point in Pinjarra. Bore water (not potable) available.

Wonderful relaxing place.

Relaxing campsite on Peel Harvey Estuary. Well marked campsites with areas suitable for caravans, motorhome , tents, swags. Rustic amenities but new ones being built. Bring your own potable water. Lovely walks along the waterside. Dolphins and pelicans passing by, parrots and other small birds in the trees. Crabbing in season.

Great spot on the banks of the lake. Current caretakers Matt and Leigh doing a great job to improve the place. Feels very homely. Free damper made by Matt every Friday happy hour get together.
