This free overnight rest area is located opposite the General Store in Benarkin. Here you will find toilets, showers, water, picnic table, BBQ facilities and four power points available for caravans. Located just behind the rest area is the Blackbutt to Linville Rail Trail which you can check out and explore the local bird and wildlife. A maximum stay limit of 48 hours applies.

Great quite stop off the highway. Some highway noise but more birds. Shower and toilet block is not yet opened. There is an old single toilet and it is quite clean. No Power we could see.
Good flat area with room for buses and 5th wheelers.
We will be back.

This is an excellent rest area town is small with only one shop opposite. If wanting power need to be in early but there is lots of room for self contained rigs of all sizes. While it is removed from the highway it is at the top of a range and truck noise can be heard as they top the range.

The new hot showers are fabulous with no coin operation (FREE). You will pay a $1 an hour to charge your batteries near the picnic shed. The picnic shed has a free electric BBQ that works well along with fresh water. The burgers at the general store were liked by all. An awesome range of metric and imperial bolts and nuts as well as a range of oils is at the shop too. Please leave your donation in the tin at the shop. Please help to keep this spot in good shape.
