This is a large free overnight rest area which has a circular layout at the end for ease of access. It is located approx 300 metres off the highway and you are surrounded by trees for a quiet night of rest. It is suitable for big rigs as well.
Here you will find toilets with disabled access, picnic tables and pets are allowed.

We stayed here in December 2015. This site is located on the southern side of the highway and consists of two distinct areas. There is a large bitumen area close to the highway which is marked out for parking of large vehicles and would be capable of accommodating big rigs. From there a gravelled track leads about 200 metres to a smaller area with a circular turn around and here you will find room for smaller vehicles to camp. There is room for no more than five or six camps and definitely not suitable for big rigs. There are good long drop toilets here some picnic tables and also access to a short rainforest walk.
