The campsites are set in natural bushland amongst large granite boulders and Moreton Bay Fig trees and campers have their choice of sites.
There is an abundance of native flora, fauna and birdlife. Climb Goat Rock and have a panoramic view of Texas and the Dumaresq River valley.
This area is a great spot for photography & painting.Children will love to feed and pat the chooks, goats, sheep & minature ponies. There is great fishing in the Dumaresq & MacIntyre Rivers close by.

At $14pn ($7 each) we reckon this is pretty good value been here twice (out of holiday periods) and only met one other camper. Otherwise have had the place to ourselves - apart from wallabies roos emus assorted sheep and goats and the peacocks etc in the chook palace.
And the view from goat rock itself just about 360 degrees is pretty good too.
Facilities are rustic but toilets (drops) are clean enough and there is a shower if you care to heat your water in the donkey.

just spent Easter there nice took the package deal good food ,now $11 pp a night 10km dirt road in bit rough
