Morgan Conservation Park boasts a system of lagoons, swamps, creeks and Murray River anabranches bordered by river red gum woodlands.
There are numerous species of birdlife inhabiting the park. Look out for the regent parrots, pelicans and white-faced herons. Common brushtail possums can be seen and if you are quiet you might be able to spot skinks darting for cover under dried leaves and dead wood.
Driving off designated tracks is not permitted. The park is accessible to 2WD vehicles, however some sections of the main track are sandy or can become slippery when wet.
Campsites are situated along the Murray River with the ability to launch canoes from most sites. A boat ramp is situated at the end of the Park for larger vessels. Quietly paddle bird-watching paradise with numerous species of bird life inhabiting the park. Look out for the regent parrots, pelicans and white-faced herons. Many camp sites offer partial shade and access to the river for canoe launch. Access 4WD or 2WD in dry conditions. Suitable for tents, camper trailers, caravans. Facilities, nil. Campfires allowed (seasonal fire restrictions apply). Number of campsites. 15 allocated campsites. Electricity, unpowered.
You must book and pay for your campsite before you arrive, as cash self-registration stations are no longer in use in this park.
Wood fires and solid fuel fires are prohibited from 15 November to 15 April each year. Gas fires are permitted other than on days of total fire ban.
