This low cost campground on the Murray River has a maximum 120 hour stay.  It is self registration and a camping permit must be displayed, you can get this next to the toilet block.  It is a well set out camp area with shade available.  Here you will find toilets and non-potable water and dogs are permitted.   It is a good fishing spot.

Permit required from machine

I had not been here for around 12 months and found a big difference, the grounds do not seem to be maintained and grass and trees were overgrown. We arrived on a Friday and left on the Sunday (just a weekend trip). No one came to check tickets or service toilets etc. These needed cleaning and ladies had run out of paper. Seems to have a larger than normal crowd of rough & loud campers. Many dogs were not on leads, which caused problems. this is a great spot which seems to be in need of some local attention

Well maintained campsite. Lovely shady trees, vehicles park in gravel bays with grass in front of some sites down to the river. Other sites in shade but not on river side. Tents allowed on grass area. Clean toilet. No fresh water. Rubbish bins. Pay on site through credit card machine or $2 coins. Ferry across to town 1/2 km from Bolto. Very pleasant place to stay. 5 day limit.

A beautiful setting to refresh, fish even being caught by those keen. Could be dusty if the wind blew, but lovely green grass outside the bollards for each site. Highly recommend. The Murray Princess travels the water in front of this area.

We stayed overnight in October 2015 on a very hot day. This is a really well maintained site. It was well set out and with lots of shade for hot weather.
Unpowered site per vehicle per night (2 adults)
